- Divinity Fatum - Game demo release

Posted by GreyInvidia - September 30th, 2013

Hi everyone. I'm pretty much aware that I wasn't really... active here, on Newgrounds. Anyway I'd like to introduce to you demo of game I'm was working on for quite some time already.

It's titled Divinity Fatum. The game is being made in RPG Maker VX, but I hope that won't really matter much.
Anyway, the game tells a story of a certain girl that wakes up in seemingly abandoned, endless city wreathed with rain. Not remembering who she is and how did she ended up in this place, her only option is to look for a way out. While doing so, she'll find certain clues that slowly reveal true nature of this place, and most importantly answer the question of who - or rather what - main protagonist of the story is.

It may seem like theme for some horror game, but that is hardly the case. This game is indeed somewhat dark, but not really scary. If anything, it's more of psychological and philosophical ride.

Graphics and arts for game were done by me. Music however comes from Newgrounds, so if anybody would feel offended that I used their music without their knowledge, just tell me and we try to figure something out. For now however every artist whose music I decided to use is credited.

Anyway, if you'd like to check out how this game looks like, check out this video for example:

If you'd be interested in trying the game by yourself, you can grab demo here:

You may also want to check out dev blog to check out screenshots, read some more info etc. You can find it here:

Oh, and as a final note. Have in mind that this is demo version. It may still contain some bugs. I'm also aware of countless typos and grammatical errors but it is beyond my ability to point them out and correct them. If anybody would feel like helping with that, I'd be very grateful.

And that would be all in that topic. Thanks for attention.

I'll do a video on that demo soon.
Sounds intriguing.

Cool to know! Please tell me, when you'll do it :D

Is this related to the Divinity game series? Haven't played it myself, but the title's pretty similar. It looks good, spooky and interesting.

Nope. Personally never even played any of Divinity games, so similiarity is just a coincidence.
